Items are priced much higher here than anywhere else - case of pop and a bag of chips was over $18 and they inconsistently will add a 3% charge on credit purchases. I was originally told it was only for alcohol, but it seems they decide when they want to add it. Plenty of other choices in the area, shop elsewhere.
This store is full of snacks, ice cream, milk, cheese, fresh stuff, drinks, wine, liquor, beer, birthday cards etc. it’s a comprehensive convenience store.
If it were possible to rate this store a zero, I would. Lady at cash, I assume the owner, extremely rude. Yelled at me that I can't pay with a credit card. Sign on the door indicates they accept Visa and Mastercard. Normally I wouldn't leave such a negative review for a small business, but they have a hand scrawled sign on the door asking customer to share on Facebook. Absolutely! I will share how rude they are! Upon arriving home, my spouse also mentioned a similar rude encounter. If you don't understand the basic concepts of customer service, you have no business running a store. Next time, I'll do my business at the Hawkestone General Store, where they exhibit exemplary customer service.
The owner of this place is a real piece of work. She adds a minimum of 4$ to the price of everything in her store. I have been in line behind a customer purchasing spirits and have heard the owner tell them that they NEED to use debit instead of credit cause she doesn't make much money off the spirits. Even less when they pay with credit. Super rude. Most products are no name. I don't have an issue with no name products but I have an issue paying triple the cost of them in a convenience store. The store is kind of grimey just like the owner. Very fitting.
What a wonderful place. Delightful Proprietress we had a very nice chat about the wonder of winter in December. Note to the township office please keep the snow banks leveled so customers and staff can safely navigate the parking lot and four way stop on the corner. God bless?
The male owner is beyond rude everytime. The last time I went I was told to never come back if I use a debit/credit because it triggered his machine as credit and he would have to pay the fee. It's my new debit card, I wasn't aware it would do that. The female owner and other woman who works there are very nice. Unfortunately too many issues with the male being rude have caused them to lose a long time customer.
Great little store. I've never gone there with some "dinner ingredient EMERGENCY" A and not found what I'm looking for. Decent beer and wine selection too...
